Lemon Grass
Cymbopogon citratus is an evergreen grass with highly fragrant, lemon scented foliage. The beautifully arching, bright green leaves that grow up to 1m tall, making it an attractive addition to any ornamental and herb garden. Lemon Grass can also be grown in pots on sunny patios and balconies. It is widely used in Thai and other South East Asian cooking and can be used fresh or dried in stirfries, rice and noodle dishes, casseroles and sauces or as a refreshing tea. It is also a well known medicinal plant and has insect repelling properties to boot!
